As a dog groomer I have the privilege of meeting a wide variety of breeds, sizes, shapes, hair, smells, temperaments, and personalities. No dog is the same as the other, but most can be pooled into groups based on the previously mentioned elements. This is how I feel about these different groups:
Never-Ending Barkers/Screamers:
Too many big and/or bad dogs:
Dogs who are creeping under my skin:
Adorable little dogs that are so cute and so good:
Matted Dogs:
…Dog walks in…“What is THAT hot mess!?!?”
The Perfect Client: Sweet, Cute, Quiet:
Dogs who like to nip or bite:
Dogs that act tough but they’re all bark and no bite:
Bad Dogs in general:
The dogs that drive you over the edge (like old dogs or puppies)
Those lovey-dovey dogs:
Super Duper Cute Puppies
Nice Dog AND Nice Owner!!

a while ago I read an article about how dogs love us back, but recognize that we’re different from them, while cats see us as bigger and clumsier than them, but do not consider us different
Dogs: I am fuzzy creature and you are a different adorable creature and I love you!!!!! Cats: I am lanky and graceful and you are a giant mess
This is why cats occasionally try to bathe and feed us
It’s true; cats see us as giant dumb hairless babies. That’s why they bring us half-dead prey– to teach us how to hunt and eat properly. That’s why they attack when we rub their bellies– that’s how parent cats teach kittens to defend themselves. That’s also why they meow– cats communicate with other adults on a frequency we can’t hear, but meow at kittens because their ears aren’t fully developed. They even specialized a set of meows they use only for humans, because we are especially deaf babies.
FUN STORY: my grandma lives in a city that was currently taken over by drug dealers and gangs and it’s now divided in two and my grandma is the oNLY CITIZEN IN THE WHOLE CITY who can go walking freely through both sides of the town because she used to do community work and feed the poor kids and those gang members were all fed by her so they let her come and go as she wants SO WHAT WE LEARN TODAY IS TO BE FUCKING NICE TO KIDS BC U MIGHT BE DEALING W FUTURE GANG MEMBERS
I’ve been looking through my Holt and Jake tag and I’ve just been hit with so many feels oh man.
Jake called Holt dad.
Punching his HERO for disrespecting his captain.
His face when Holt said he was proud of him.
Wuntch saving Jake for last when she was talking to Holt, knowing that Jake was his pet project and adding in just an extra jab about Jake’s life should he be transferred.
Jake flat out admitting that he was dealing with Holt’s departure the same way he dealt with his father abandoning him.
I honestly can’t with this relationship right now; they’re so father/son that it hurts.
